The 3rd
class of the beginning level of training in the
Vaganova syllabus starts with a foot warm-up exercise
and takes the dancers through a complete beginning
ballet class. The class is performed by Galina
Mezentseva, a prima ballerina of the Kirov Ballet. To
watch this wonderful dancer is a true inspiration as
she demonstrates the exact way to do each step. This
DVD will make any young dancer want to become a
professional ballet dancer which this method of
teaching will help them achieve. This video is also a
challenge by the fact that the steps are simply
described and not demonstrated before each exercise.
This way a student must know the ballet vocabulary and
be able to execute the steps without seeing them
first.
